I Should Be Doing Something Else Right Now – Somerset House

Somerset House is a working arts centre in London and home to a number of creative enterprises from the British fashion council to magazine publication and public cultural and arts events. During the Covid restrictions of 2020/21 the organisation increased its online events offer, branding it ‘I Should Be Doing Something Else Right Now’. The online cultural programme was launched on Friday 17 April and ran to the end of summer 2020. It included live-streamed broadcasts from studio artists, film, audio-diary, discussion panels, workshops and a virtual tour of the Somerset House exhibition, Mushrooms: The Art, Design and Future of Fungi. A digital residency was also occupied by Juliana Huxtable – a multi media and musical artist. On-line events have continued after covid-restrictions lifted. Digital events, workshops and content range from Free of charge, make a donation/pay what you can afford through to specifically priced one-off payment.
